How Content is Created

The content on this site was adapted in September 2006 from the brochure, About Gout: What you need to know about gout and uric acid. This brochure was reviewed and edited by each and every Board member of the Gout & Uric Acid Education Society. Copy was finalized by Chairman of the Board N. Lawrence Edwards, M.D. Web site copy has been adapted and condensed as appropriate for online viewing.

Additional information will be added to the site on an ongoing basis. Individual Board members will provide more detailed information based on their own areas of expertise. Each new piece of content will be reviewed by three Gout & Uric Acid Education Society Board members.
